Upcoming Events at St. Stephen's
Easter Prayer Stations - All Sundays in May
During the Easter Season we are focusing on the practice of prayer. As part of the practice we will be offering a time of prayer following Eucharist. Members of the Daughters of the King, a woman's group of the Episcopal Church, will be available in the chapel for prayer. You can also light a candle in the chapel, walk the labyrinth in the library, or enjoy the music and silence. Consider trying a new prayer practice this Easter Season.
Sunday, May 8th - Mother's Day and A Celebration of New Members
If you would like to have a Remembrance or a Memorial printed for a mother you know, there is a sign up sheet under the bulletin board in the kitchen area. We are asking for a donation of your choice for every name you wish to include. Donations may be placed in the Offertory Plate with a note "For Mother's Day".
Join us as we welcome new people to our church! We will celebrate with those who were confirmed on May 7th at regional confirmation and welcome those who have transferred their membership to St. Stephen's in the past year.
Saturday, May 14th - Sacred Space Campaign Kick-Off - 3pm to 5pm
Join us for some wine and cheese (and cookies and lemonade) as well as a silent auction as we begin our spring capital campaign focused on improvements to our sanctuary and main floor. We will bless the benches from last year's campaign at 4pm and share our vision for this year's fundraising effort. Bidding for the auction and announcement of winners at 4:30pm.
Sunday, May 15th - Healing Worship - 10am
A special worship featuring prayers for healing and laying on of hands for those who would like it, as well as special music as we pray for the people of Ukraine.
Sunday, May 22nd - Newcomer Meet n Greet - following worship
New to St. Stephen's? Want to learn more about our church? We'd like to learn more about you and welcome you into our congregation! Join us for a special coffee hour after church.
Outdoor Summer Worship - 4th Sundays of the month @ 4pm begins May 22nd
During the summer months we'll be trying an informal outdoor Eucharist in the west garden. The service is designed to be family friendly with interactive elements. Bring your own chair if you can!
Saturday, May 28th @ 9am - Parish Work Day
Help us care for God's creation! Join us as we spruce up the grounds of the church for the summer. Bring tools for weeding and planting. Lunch will be provided.
Sunday, May 29th - Youth Group Bake Sale
Our youth group is raising funds for their summer trip. They'll be preparing delicious treats (and may even share some in pre-sale for the work day) to support their efforts. They would also welcome donations from the congregation if you would like to bake something and bring it on the 28th or the 29th. Get a delicious treat and support our youth!
