Telling a Story: A Brief Introduction to Preaching - Sundays (Today) June 26th and July 10th following 10am worship                                                                                Preaching is a central act of worship dating back to the early church. Whether you feel a calling to share your own story or learn more about the art of preaching or simply want to discuss your favorite sermon, join us for an introduction to preaching.

Aurora Community Clean Up Event - Saturday, July 9th - 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.                           St. Stephen’s has partnered with the Highland Park East Neighborhood Association and the City of Aurora to provide a “Free Dumpster Day” for HPENA residents and members of St. Stephen’s.

Sacred Space Work Day - Saturday, July 16th and August 6th @9am                                    Help us beautify the interior of our church. July’s workday will be focused on preparing to redo the floor in the sacristy and sprucing up the pews. In August we will paint the bathrooms and rearrange and set up for the start of the Sunday school year. 

Instructed Eucharist - Sunday, July 17th @10am Why do we do what we do during worship?  Join us for a special service that walks us through some of the details of the story and customs behind our liturgy.  Featuring special guests such as the Presiding Bishop, and leaders from other Episcopal churches (via video). Bring your questions and curiosity and learn about our rich tradition.

 Loaves & Fishes - Sunday, July 31st Please bring donations for Aurora Interfaith’s Community Food Bank during the Sundays of July. We will bless the donations as part of our liturgy on July 31st.  This collection is part of a diocesan wide day where we make an effort to feed those who are hungry in the state of Colorado.

 Newcomer Meet ‘n Greet - July 31 following 10am worship New to St. Stephen’s?  Want to learn more about our church?  We’d like to learn more about you and welcome you into our congregation! Join us for a special coffee hour after church. 

 Outdoor Summer Worship - 4th Sunday of the month @4pm                                                    Outdoor Worship has returned! In addition to our regular Sunday worship, we are offering an informal outdoor Eucharist in the west garden. The service is designed to be family friendly with interactive elements. Bring your own chair if you can!
